Photoshop comes to your phone or tablet, albeit in a cleverly re-crafted version. Designed to look and feel familiar, the app tries to give creatives just enough power to work on a tablet. When you're done making, you can share.

Verdict: Don't expect a watered down version of the artist's friend. It's been remixed for touch and works very well indeed.

Opera browser beta
Oslo-based Opera's claims are brave: do more using less data. In this latest version you should find improved 3G performance, various fixes and stability improvements. Under the hood it has a WebKit engine, which we weren't expecting. It saw Opera jilt its Presto system.

Verdict: The revamped frontend is an improvement. We say download it and have a tinker. It's time well spent.
